Black Label Badger Balsa Crankbait – Mid-Depth All-Purpose Performer

The Black Label Badger Balsa Crankbait was designed to fill the gap between shallow and deep cranking, delivering a smaller-profile, mid-depth bait with balanced performance that excels year-round. Built with a durable polymer lexan lip and thru-lip line tie, the Badger covers water efficiently in the 6–7 foot range, and can reach slightly deeper when fished on lighter line.

When developing the Badger, Cliff Pace set out to create a true “middle-of-the-road” crankbait—moderate in size, vibration, and tail kick. The result is a versatile balsa bait that performs across a wide range of conditions and cover types, including rock, wood, grass edges, clay banks, and gravel. Its semi-fast vibration makes it effective in both cooler and warmer water temperatures, while its compact profile shines in clear to lightly stained water.

Handcrafted from premium balsa wood and finished using Black Label’s meticulous 45-step build process, the Badger is equipped with two black nickel Mustad TG76 treble hooks for reliable hookups. This bait was designed to consistently produce when other crankbaits fall short in the mid-depth zone.
